Rubber Baits
Nature Rubber Fish were introduced in the 1911 catalogue and over the years would expand in the sizes, colours and species offered. The biggest problem with these baits is that over time the rubber would deteriorate causing hardening and brittleness. Finding intact baits from pre-1925 is exceptionally hard.
The company also offered to fix rubber collapsible fins to most of the Nature range of baits and these generally survive.
In 1922 Artificial King Rag Worm was introduce and patent 188898/22 granted. This was sold in four sizes 12, 9, 6 and 4 1/2 inches.
Another baits introduced in the 1923 catalogue was the Lola Millais bait which was made of a Rag Worm tail and OK Flexaloid body. It was available in four sizes 10, 9, 8, and 6 inches. I have never been able to find this bait.
